How RnR Jet Washing collects and uses your information.

This policy explains what personal information RnR Jet Washing collects when you use this website or ask us for a quote, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Who we are

RnR Jet Washing (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides jet washing and exterior cleaning services in Essex and London. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how it is used and we are responsible for looking after it under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, please get in touch using the details on our Contact page.

What information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in one of our quote forms, we collect:

  • your name, phone number and postcode;
  • your email address (on the full quote form);
  • the service you are interested in and the type of property;
  • any details about the job you choose to tell us; and
  • any photo you choose to upload. Please avoid including people, car number plates or other personal details in photos.

If you call us, message us on WhatsApp, or book a job with us, we will also keep the details you give us then, such as your address, the work agreed, appointment dates and payment records.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web server keeps short-term technical logs that include your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. We use these only to keep the site secure and working properly. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

How and why we use your information

Data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for using your information. We use it:

  • To respond to your enquiry and give you a quote: this is a step you have asked us to take before entering into a contract.
  • To arrange, carry out and invoice the work: this is necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To keep business and tax records: this is a legal obligation.
  • To keep our website secure and prevent spam or misuse: this is in our legitimate interests.

We will not use your details to send you marketing messages unless you have asked us to. We never sell your information.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to, with:

  • our website hosting provider (Amazon Web Services), which stores the website and the form submissions on servers in the European Economic Area;
  • our email and phone providers, so that we can receive your enquiry and reply to you;
  • our accountant and professional advisers, where this is needed for our accounts or legal obligations; and
  • the police, HMRC or other authorities, if we are required to by law.

These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us. Where information is held outside the UK, it is protected by UK “adequacy” arrangements or equivalent legal safeguards.

Third-party services on this website

  • Google Fonts: this website loads its fonts from Google. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • WhatsApp: if you contact us using the WhatsApp link, your message is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

This website only uses one strictly necessary cookie, called CONCRETE. It keeps your session working, for example so a quote form can be checked and sent securely, and it is deleted when you close your browser. Because it is essential to how the site works, it does not need your consent. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and quotes that do not lead to a job: up to 12 months, in case you come back to us, and then deleted.
  • Customer and job records, including invoices: 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required by HMRC.
  • Website server logs: a few weeks.

How we keep it safe

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, form submissions are only available to us through a password-protected admin area, and our systems are kept up to date. Only the people who need your information to do their job can see it.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it; and
  • ask us to send it to you or to another organisation in a common electronic format.

Some of these rights depend on the situation; for example, we may need to keep invoices for tax purposes. To use any of your rights, contact us through our Contact page. We will respond within one month, and there is normally no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
